Updates, smiles, bike horns & “Southern Belle”

Okay, okay…let me hear it.   I have NOT been a good blogger. *pout* I know and my apologies.  I plan on keeping things a bit more up to speed in the time ahead.   In all honesty, after the death of my grandmother I kind of hit a bump in the road.  It was a hard time going for a while.

So, on a lighter note…I have been doing some fun things.   I have designed a makeup look for one of our local high schools for state competitions! YEAH!  It has been this crazy, insane fun time for me.  I have met so many new girls, parents and people that have been appreciative of my time.  It has made it such an enjoyable journey.  I will be sad when it’s over for the summer.

Yesterday, I did the normal grocery shopping and errand running.   Seriously, what has gotten in to people these days?!  One car ahead, one person ahead…it drives me INSANE.  People at the grocery store…PLEASE use the shopping aisles, as you would lanes of traffic! I am so tempted to take a bike horn sometimes and mount it on the side of my cart and *HONK* at people.  I just stick to my rule and just *SMILE*!  When the grouchy old lady is staring me down…I whip it out *SMILE*  Sometimes, I get a smile back and sometimes a turn of the head. But, I WIN! =D  I am always the first to ask the person checking me out “Hi.  How are you today?” and almost always they look startled that I said anything to them.

I am a chatter box and if you know me personally, you know this to be true.  I am also a great listener however!  I met with a bride a couple of weeks ago.  We will call her “Southern Belle” and I kid you not, I think we were at the Starbucks for 3 or 4 hours!  We were like long last friends at a reunion.  What an amazing person!  We have become regular chat buddies.  Boy is “Southern Belle” beautiful, spunky, down to earth,  and the best looking fishing partner, you will ever have. *insert lucky GREEN boy fisherman here* (or I guess you could call him the groom) =D   By the time I got home Chris said “Wow,  I didn’t think you were going to come back.”   I love meetings like that.  Where you can just chat like you’ve known someone for ages.  All in all, a great time.

In other words be kind, whip it out *SMILE* and if things get really bad…get a bike horn!?

My random ramblings for the day!
*SMILE*

JD~ I know that I’ve said this before, but I do believe that people come into your life for a season, a reason, or a lifetime. I know that with as “long” as I’ve known you… it will be for a lifetime! You are such an amazing and strong woman, and what a blessing this world has been given with the gift of you! I am SO excited for the next few months, and can’t wait until we can take that girls trip! ;) P.S…. Can you bring your bike horn?… Mine broke! ;P ***HUGS***
